Vulnerability to lightning - ITHPP

Simulating the effects of lightning is essential for qualifying numerous systems, especially in the aeronautical field for example. This application of High pulsed power is also the most easily understood by the general public.

Based on existing norms and regulations or by aiming to reach specific performance standards (electrical, environmental, space or mobility), ITHPP designs and manufactures ready to use solutions for customers. ITHPP generators make it possible to simulate indirect as well as direct effects of lightning.

In doing so, ITHPP facilitate the behavioural study of materials following a lightning like strike to evaluate the impact of said discharge (aggression), and of systems that are designed to respond to certain criteria. This is just as important for both aircraft structural designers as well as reinforced electrical system designers.

Wether to designers of structures used in the construction of aircrafts or to developers of reinforced electrical systems, ITHPP provides the test tools that will enable them to study the behaviour and assess the impact of "lightning" type discharges  (or attacks) on materials (metals, development of composites, etc.) or on systems that must meet specific lightning requirements.
